Why use the internet?

To make life easier and more convenient for you, your GP practice is introducing appointment booking and requests for repeat prescriptions over the internet.

Booking an appointment

Using the new internet site called My Health Online, you are able to book an appointment. You will get confirmation back immediately online, so there is no need to re-confirm by phone or email. Just arrive promptly on the day. You can also view any appointments you have already made or cancel them if necessary.

Requesting a repeat prescription

Using the internet, you don’t have to visit the practice to hand over your repeat prescription request. Once requested simply collect your prescription as usual.

Why is it happening now?

My Health Online is part of a Welsh Assembly Government initiative to improve patient care through better use of lT and information. lt is brought to you by NHS Wales Informatics Service working together with your Gp.

Getting started

Before you can start using My Health online, you must register your details at reception. You will need to provide some proof of identity. When you have done this you will then be provided with PIN numbers to register online and set up your account.

Is my information safe?

Your personal details are protected using the highest standards of internet security to prevent them being intercepted. It is your responsibility to keep your log in details safe. Only you and your GP surgery are able to see this information. If you have any further enquiries please ask at reception.
